TOP NATIONAL PARKS

Badlands National Park
South Dakota

Badlands National Park is nestled in South Dakota. Here you will discover 244,000 acres of incredible pinnacles, spines, and buttes. The land is a beautiful mixture of grasses, covering 64,000 acres.

It is in the Badlands National Park where the Black-Footed Ferret was reintroduced to save it from extinction. Although this national park was first established in 1939 as a national monument, by 1978 it had transitioned to a national park.

Experts believe this area once co-managed by the Sioux Tribe is estimated to be around 11,000 years old. Badlands makes an excellent travel destination for the entire family.
